A new kind of win.

This was actually something I wanted to do tomorrow, because I had figured I’d have enough of writing for one day. But considering I’ve finished much earlier than I anticipated, and because I can’t actually update yet, I figure I’d get this out of the way.

Here’s where we start babbling. Collapse )

Okay, now to enter in that two month hiatus period, where I get to actually relax and not worry about writing all day. What will I do with myself, eep!

Original Genetic Experiment 'Outline'

I keep meaning to throw this up here. I had meant to do it after November, but it managed to slip my mind until I happened to find it again a while back. This had to be the first time I had ever written my ideas for a story down, even if it's not a true outline in the fashion I do it now. But I actually used this for the basis of Genetic Experiment, which is why I had to wait until after I was done with the book to post it.

This was written in 2004 when I was 20/21. So...yeah, expect it to be sappy/kinda weird. But at the same time, it's not half bad (you know, considering I still used the same concept and all).

Genetic Experiment Story IdeaCollapse )
I know I hardly ever use LJ anymore, and I also know it's not necessary to explain myself in this matter. However, this morning I had a strong urge to write down why I decided to redo the last book in the Gatekeeper saga, so this is more for my benefit than anything else.

Bit of HistoryCollapse )

The ExplanationCollapse )

The Bright SideCollapse )

Sorry this was long. Felt good to explain things. I do kinda want to outline it, but not sure if it'll help matters, to be honest. We'll just have to see in the long run.

For now, though, I'll probably pop out a few more Gatekeeper pieces, since I'm feeling a bit better about the story. Yay, art! :D

NaNo '14

Well, it’s that time of year again, where I actually get on Livejournal and post something, because it’s tradition and I have nowhere else to put this. Where I tell about me winning NaNoWriMo again, and then try to remember all the crap I wanted to put in this journal throughout the month. Or the day, depending. I know I’ll forget to mention something. I always do.

And here's the standard rambling.Collapse )

StatsCollapse )

Now to go and edit this time in December, and cry over the fact that it wasn’t nearly as good or epic as Cog in the Machine. ;P

NaNo '13

I know it’s a little late, but between writing and going to see Frozen in the middle of it, as well as working on a rather complex Lego set my boyfriend got at the Lego Store on Black Friday, which he was waiting for me to finish writing to start on, I didn’t really have much time to write up a journal for this year’s NaNo. Which is strange, considering last year, I hadn’t even felt like writing one! Maybe I just needed a year off from writing one of these, I don’t know. Either way, I did know I wanted to write one this year, and so, I am, the day after NaNo ended. I mean, hey, why not, right? I did enough writing yesterday.

In which I explain, you know, thingsCollapse )
Now, for some stats:
Stats, yay!Collapse )

I sort of already know what I’m going to write for next year, since I’m slowly running out of ideas for November. I might have to do what I did for the first one, and actually come up with some new eventually! But I’m happy it’s over, and I get to rest for a bit. Because I’m hoping to finish Gatekeeper finally in the upcoming year. We’ll have to see, though. :D

Dragon*Con 2010 Report Day Two

Now with more pictures!Collapse )

Tomorrow I get to wear my Sailor Astra costume. :D

Dragon*Con 2010 Report Day One

While waiting for my costume for today (which, thankfully, my brother’s boss is super nice, and brought it down for me. The universe really likes me lately, I noticed. The odds that his boss just happens to be coming to Atlanta as well, and on the day after we did, are astronomical. Sure, I didn’t get to wear my pretty dress, but I had a back-up, geek shirt ready in case I hadn’t wanted to wear one of my costumes.), I figured I’d do this.

Not a lot happens, but we all know I right too muchCollapse )

Yes, I am boring. What of it?

May. 18th, 2009

Sometimes, I really hate Sailormoon. Usually just when it randomly takes over my muse and doesn't let me work on my story. I don't understand it; I don't think I had this much interest in otaku senshi even when I was in the fandom. Weird. Perhaps it's just because I've matured a little, and am able to plot out better. Who knows? It's annoying.

So, yeah, Purebred's been updated, finally. I was surprised at how easy this chapter came out, actually. I like it. I would have had it done sooner, but I had this little thing called real life that screwed it up. And procrastination. And just being lazy. Whatever, it's updated now, and I get to introduce one of my favorite characters next chapter. She's the whole reason I decided to go with a new version rather than just simply editing the first one. Hee. Hopefully, I'll get that one done soon.

Maybe not. I do have school and work to deal with, as well as a group project. We'll just have to see, I guess. ^^;

Rest in peace.  Your last moments on this Earth were hard, and you hurt, but you were happy, and you were loved, and you will always be in my heart.  In all our hearts.

I'll miss you greatly.

I love you.
